5 Unforgettable Things to Do in Teton Village, WY

Teton Village is a located at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and offers visitors everything they need for an unforgettable Wyoming vacation. With a Swiss-style village and picture-perfect atmosphere, there are any number of things to do from ski-in bars and spas to restaurants, shopping and so much more. Many people take advantage of Teton Village rentals and stay for a few days or longer to experience the area. If you’re planning a trip to the area in the coming year, these are five unforgettable things to do that are guaranteed to set this holiday apart from all the rest.

1. Take a Ride on the Jackson Hole Tram

Photography enthusiasts will love this part of the trip, and it’s fun even if you don’t care much for snapping photos. A ride on this scenic tram is an essential part of any vacation in Wyoming. After boarding the tram, you’ll travel 10,4500 feet to the top of Rendezvous Peak. While you’re on the journey, a recording will tell you all about the area, giving you a built-in history lesson. When you’re at the top of the peak, enjoy panoramic views and take the time to explore Grand Teton National Park. This area of the park is great for hiking and viewing local wildlife. Make sure to give yourself enough time to explore and snap plenty of photos.

2. Ski and Snowboard World-Class Terrain

If you’re visiting here in the winter months, then you’ll want to try out at least a full day of snow activities at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Don’t happen to ski or snowboard? No problem! The mountain resort offers lessons, and you can take your pick of easy or advanced slopes. There are more than 116 trails at the famous Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, so you can enjoy whatever type of skiing suits your fancy, whether that’s lessons on the bunny hill or expert-level bowls. Perfect for families who want to hit the slopes on their vacation, Jackson Hole is great for spending a day skiing or snowboarding,  then trying out one of the great restaurants for a hot meal at the end of the day.

3. Experience Jackson Hole from Above

If you want to get an aerial view of Jackson Hole (and you most certainly do), then Teton Village is the perfect home base for your adventures in the sky. One of the unique and popular attractions in the area is the hot air balloon rides, which are available in the warmer months. You can choose from a variety of packages to get a view of the area from the comfort and unique setting of a hot air balloon floating in the sky.

More adventurous travelers will want to consider taking a paraglider or glider plane ride here in Jackson Hole. What truly makes this experience worth the time is that you’ll get to see the mountains, meandering rivers, and lush landscapes in the area without the obstruction of fellow tourists. With a great tour guide, you’ll enjoy the best that Jackson Hole has to offer. Visiting in the winter? You can still enjoy a variety of helicopter rides and numerous other ways to take to the skies and enjoy the snow-covered views in warmth and comfort.

4. Hike the Teton Pass

Get an early start in the morning and hike this must-try trail. If you’re with a group that’s not much for hiking, you can still drive to the pass and enjoy a spectacular sunrise or sunset. However, getting up early and starting the hike is a great way to spend the day. The trail has a 10-percent grade, which can be quite challenging, so make sure you and your fellow travelers are prepared. Although you can vary your distance, hiking to Hidden Falls and Lower Inspiration Point are great ways to make sure that you see everything on your trip. Use the Jenny Lake shuttle boat to save you some more steps along the way if needed.

5. Hike the Laurance Rockefeller Preserve

Although there are any number of hikes in this area, this one is particularly iconic, especially when you get a guided tour from one of the expert local trail guides. Rangers are available for guided trail hikes out to Phelps Lake, and it’s well worth taking the time to do this. Plan out your schedule to take advantage of the ranger tours. The tour will end at Phelps Lake, so bring a packed lunch and relax while taking in the stunning views. You can then hike around the lake to continue to enjoy the scenery. Even better, this is not a very well-known trail, so you can usually avoid crowds that are typically present on more popular routes. You can also choose to spend part of the day or devote most of your day to this adventure — how far you hike is entirely up to you.

Taking a trip to Teton Village is always unforgettable regardless of your timing, as there are a number of activities to enjoy in all seasons. In fact, you may want to plan both a winter and summer trip to enjoy all that the area has to offer visitors, from the hikes to the world-class skiing and all of the shopping, eating and enjoyment in between. Whenever you decide to visit, be sure to give yourself enough time to truly experience the wonders, culture and unique personality of Teton Village. The people here are friendly and will welcome you with their picture-perfect scenery and memorable adventures.

Ice Breaker ferry ride through Death’s Door

360 Magazine Culture Editor Tom Wilmer reports from Door County Wisconsin.

If you’re not familiar with Wisconsin, look at a map of the state and you’ll notice a jutting peninsula (locals fondly refer to the peninsula as Wisconsin’s thumb) on the eastern flank. That’s Door County; cradled on the western flank is Sturgeon Bay and legendary Green Bay.

Summertime is crazy-busy tourist time with vacationers from around the midwest who have a multi-generational fondness for the rural county.

It’s a rural paradise where cherry orchards remain king, but today family-owned wineries have also become part of the landscape, alongside the ever popular roadside farm stands.

If you’re based in a southern state or on the West Coast you might presume that come wintertime the locals in the Northern Tier states hunker down by the fireplace until the spring thaw.

Come up for a visit in the midst of winter and you will see the locals just as busy playing and adventuring in the outdoors as they do in July or August.

Cross Country skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, ice skating–and ice fishing are super popular winter activities.

A cool mid-winter adventure takes place at the northern end of the Door Peninsula–that’s where you board the ice-breaker ferry for a ride across the straits—dubbed long ago by pioneer adventurers Deaths’ Door.

The roots of the name stem from the potentially brutal and sometimes deadly experience when early settles traveled by boat between the peninsula and ports around Lake Michigan.

Today the Washington Island Ferry transports locals and visitors every day of the year–shuttling passengers between the peninsula and nearby Washington Island.

The Washington Island Ferries are equipped with hardened ice-breaking bows that carve their way across the straits skirting the fringe of Green Bay and Lake Michigan.

Settled long ago by Norwegian and Icelandic pioneers, Washington Island remains populated by descendants of the first homesteaders (the island today claims a large population of Icelandic descendants)–of course along with a new generation of hardy souls, many attracted specifically because of its remoteness and unspoiled natural beauty.

A saving grace for the island’s pristine environment is that it has experienced minimal development and claims around 700 full-time residents, swelling to more than 1,500 during the summertime.

One of the big draws is a visit to one of the island lavender farms, and lunch at one of the local diners.

In addition to the natural beauty of Washington Island, and Door County, a precious attraction is the friendliness and welcoming attitude of the locals.

Te Bote 2

Five of the most influential urban artists of the genre, plus the sensual and unequaled touch of “The Diva of the Bronx” in Jennifer Lopez, give a new “flavor” to one of the most listened to songs of 2018.

“Te Bote 2,” produced by the young Puerto Rican, Young Martino, is a new version of the original song “Te Bote,” which swept downloads on all digital platforms in 2018. In addition, it became the most reproduced from YouTube worldwide this year and now has its “sequel”, a Spanglish style mix, which aims to position the issue in the Anglo-Saxon market.

“La Diva del Bronx” is in charge of giving the single the feminine, sensual, and international touch, making a participation in the song with a letter completely in English, without leaving aside its distinctive Latin flavor. On the other hand, Casper Mágico, Nio García, Wisin, Yandel and Cosculluela contribute a new letter in Spanish, combining the best of Trap and Reggaetón in a musical piece that reaches to 7 minutes.

“Te Bote 2” has its official video in the hands of the renowned director Fernando Lugo. It is now available on YouTube. Check it out here!

The theme is destined to become the new urban anthem of the year 2019, thanks to the “explosive combination” of its performers who invite us to enjoy a good rumba in both English and Spanish.

Developing a reputation for larger-than-life visuals, hip-hop’s hottest new leading lady once again delivers a big screen-worthy clip. Saweetie spares no detractors with one razor sharp rhyme after another as she wilds out on-screen, displaying the stunning and sexy confidence that squarely positioned her as 2018’s fastest rising star.

Expect her to make history in the new year!

“Pissed” followed up her London On Da Track collaboration, “Up Now” [feat. G-Eazy & Rich The Kid]. Meanwhile, it earned looks from Complex, Rap-Up, and more. Saweetie never stops making headlines. She recently made her major tour debut with Drake and Migos. In addition, she lent her lyrical flow to remixes for pop superstar Dua Lipa’s “IDGAF” and Anne Marie’s global hit “2002.”

Flaunting nineties rhyme reverence, fashion-forward fire, and endless charisma, SAWEETIE—born Diamonté Harper—can go bar-for-bar with the best of ‘em, and fans and critics immediately recognized and responded to that. Within six months, she cracked 400 million cumulative streams, garnered a gold plaque, and earned the praise of Billboard, Fader, and Noisey as Los Angeles Times pegged her as “one to watch this year.” Drawing on a passion for poetry and numerous years of rapping in the car, she turned her love for words into vivid verses during 2018 on the High Maintenance EP.

Born in Santa Clara of African-American and Chinese-Filipino descent and raised in Sacramento, the California native went from MVP status as a high school volleyball champ to becoming a shining student at USC. Initially, she deferred her rap dreams to achieve a degree in Communications before being discovered at a Downtown Los Angeles Puma event by current manager Max Gousse [Beyoncé, YG, Ty Dolla $ign]. At Artistry Studios, they produced her 2017 knockout viral smash “ICY GRL.” Driven by a bulletproof flow and one clever line after another, it racked up 300 million combined streams between the original and Kehlani remix, achieved a gold certification from the RIAA, and soared to #1 on Musical.ly. She also earned the early endorsement of gatekeepers such as Vibe, XXL, HipHopDX, and MTV. Touting a new partnership with Warner Bros. Records and Artistry Records for her label Icy, she’s rewriting the rule book and breaking the stereotype of the female emcee. Armed with tracks like “B.A.N.” and “Good Good,” High Maintenance features production courtesy of Zaytoven, Hassan, Saweetie, Cash Money AP, and Gousse.
