PRIVÉ REVAUX LAUNCHES CAPSULE COLLECTION WITH ACTRESS MADELAINE PETSCH

Disruptive Eyewear Brand taps Riverdale Star for Campaign and Exclusive Designs

Celebrity-approved eyewear brand Privé Revaux is proud to announce its new capsule collection and campaign in collaboration with actress Madelaine Petsch. Available for purchase on April 9, the Privé Revaux X Madelaine collection will offer limited-edition, colorful and on-trend styles, each selected and developed by the Riverdale star.

I am beyond excited to share these meticulously and personally curated sunglasses with everyone! I have been obsessed with sunglasses for a very, very long time, so it was a natural fit for me to partner with Privé Revaux on my own collection. I spent a lot of time on the details of these pairs and I am so very proud of them!” says Petsch.

The Privé Revaux X Madelaine collection features five youthful and statement-making designs, all representative of Madelaine’s bold and cultured style; Street—retro round frames, Candy—small colorful lenses, Mister—oversized cateye, Rogue—modern aviator and Clique—classic square sunnies. Each pair is handcrafted with high-quality materials including anti-ski screws, lightweight TR-90 and polarized lenses; retailing for only $29.95 per pair. Additionally, the inside lining of Privé Revaux’s signature collapsible case will feature a pop of red for the capsule collection.

“Madelaine’s style pairs perfectly with the Privé Revaux brand ethos,” says David Schottenstein, CEO and Founder of Privé Revaux. “We are excited for her to bring her fashion-forward thinking to our brand with the Privé Revaux X Madelaine collection and share her designs with her passionate fanbase.”

The campaign shoot with Madelaine took place at a private estate with panoramic views overlooking the Los Angeles mountainscape; photographed by Rachel Felling, styled by Adena Rohatiner, with makeup by Elie Maaloud and hair by Michael Kanyon. The playful and lively atmosphere garnered eight vibrant looks, showcasing the five styles in Madelaine’s handpicked collection.

Privé Revaux X Madelaine will be available online at priverevaux.com, amazon.com and internationally at select retailers including Nordstrom, American Eagle, Express and Princess Cruises.

“About You”

Asralwerks will release About You, the debut album by Albin Lee Meldau. The album which is available for pre-order today along with the release of the starkly powerful opening track Before & After marks the arrival of a remarkable new voice and an emerging artist to watch in 2018. About You will also include the standout songs The Weight Is Gone, Same Boat, and Lou Lou.

When you distill the 13 breathtaking songs on About You down to their essence, you’ll arrive at Albin’s motivation: Storytelling, says the 29-year-old singer-songwriter. That’s what will matter in the long run. If I achieve that, I’m happy. Anyone can sing. First and foremost, Albin considers himself a musical journalist who not only documents what he feels, but also what he sees. But before you discover his gift for weaving emotion, detail and humanity into a unique blend of classic soul and modern pop production, you will hear his voice and be bowled over. Maybe anyone can sing, but as NPR writes, Few singers can command an audience’s attention quite like Albin Lee Meldau. His voice is breathtaking, soulful, thunderous and impossible to ignore.

Indeed, on About You those pipes of his connect a rich history of rhythm and blue Al Green, Van Morrison to contemporary innovators like James Blake, Sam Smith and Hozier. The music does that too, swelling from spare guitar or piano-backed ballads, to Ronson-like mashups of hip-hop beats and sweeping strings, to hands-in-the-air soul-soaked dance-pop. That’s no doubt got a bit to do with Albin’s collaborators: writers like Jimmy Napes (Sam Smith, Disclosure), DJ Khalil (Anderson .Paak), and Neil Ormandy (James Arthur), plus producers Bastian Langebaek (Jessie Ware, Jack Garratt) and Jamie Scott (Rag’n’Bone Man, Ed Sheeran).

But lest you assume such a who’s who would sway a young artist from his mission, consider the fact that the haunting, unadorned song which introduced him to the world in 2015, Lou Lou, is perfectly at home on About You. And that’s where we come back to the storytelling: Just as that tune documents heartache as a woman close to Albin succumbs to madness, its neighboring songs are deeply poignant. They’re little novels about life from a man who’s heartbroken, who’s had his problems, who is weird, says Albin. It’s a breakup record and the start of something else.

The UK buzz for Albin continues to grow with a BBC Radio 2 A-List add for The Weight Is Gone, and following a sold-out London show at Omeara on April 17, Albin will return to the U.S. to support Jessie Ware on her upcoming North American tour, which includes shows in Chicago (Vic Theatre, April 29), Boston (Paradise, May 5), NYC (Brooklyn Steel, May 7-8), Philadelphia (TLA, May 10), and Washington DC (Lincoln Theatre, May 11).

2018 is shaping up to be a breakthrough year for Albin, the son of a Swedish jazz singer mom and a British punk rocker dad who hails from Gothenburg, Sweden. His debut album follows two impressive EPs that have already notched more than 30 million streams on Spotify. Last year he made his debut at SXSW and Bonnaroo, and NPR Music invited him to perform on their popular Tiny Desk Concert series. Albin was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2017 Grammis (Sweden’s Grammy Awards) and won the 2016 Anchor Award, an international competition hosted by the Reeperbahn Festival in Germany that seeks out the best new emerging talent. He was selected by a jury that included producer Tony Visconti (David Bowie) who sang Albin’s praises in presenting him the award: Something is pouring out of his heart and soul when he sings.

BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S AUCTION

A fashion and cinematic icon, Audrey Hepburn was one of the most beautiful women ever to grace a Hollywood screen, and her most famous film was undoubtedly ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s”.

Thanks to her, the whole concept of the ‘little black dress’ became a thing, and Holly Golightly – the star of the film – became a household name. Now, you can own one of the most enduring images of cinema: an original, full-sized coloured photographer’s proof of Audrey Hepburn from the 1963 film, with Holly wearing that dress and that tiara.

Proceeds from this auction will go to the Help A Life Foundation, which was formed in 2007 with the goal of housing and educating adolescent orphaned girls in Ethiopia, and providing them with a secure and supportive environment.

Miami Design District developer and CEO of Dacra, Craig Robins, along with L Catterton Real estate commissioned architect and curator Terence Riley to develop the concept of this project. In doing so, Riley curated the work of various participating international architects: WORKac, J. Mayer H., Clavel Arquitectos, Nicolas Buffe and Riley’s own architectural firm K/R (Keenen/Riley).

DEMI LOVATO

Demi Lovato wants her fans to know that no one’s perfect, and that’s OK.

Last week, the 25-year-old singer and body positivity advocate shared some pics and videos of parts of her body, including her cellulite and stretch marks, adding, “No thigh gap for me and yet I still love myself.”

“I was on Instagram and I started comparing myself to these Instagram models and I just thought to myself, someone needs to show my fans and anybody that’s looking at my account that what you see isn’t always what’s real,” Lovato told E! News exclusively. “And so, I decided to embrace my flaws and—I don’t even like to call them flaws, it’s just a part of who I am—and show the world that I’m imperfect, but that’s what makes me beautiful.”

Lovato had for years battled an eating disorder. She has often slammed the “thigh gap,” a growing trend among dieters in recent years, and promoted body positivity among her fans.

“What I would say to somebody who’s struggling right now, is try to find the gratitude,” Lovato said. “It’s so important that you try to find gratitude in your life and focus on the positive things and when you’re able to do that, or you’re able to help others, you’re able to get outside of yourself and you’re able to look at your life from a different perspective. Sometimes it’s really challenging and it’s really difficult, but it’s something that helps me every day, and so far it’s worked.”

Lovato also talked to E! News about her eating habits, saying she no longer diets.

“I think that dieting is something that we’ve been forced to kind of do because of the diet culture…we’re praised if we don’t eat fried chicken and we eat a salad. It’s like, sometimes that’s what you want and it’s OK to treat yourself every once in a while.”

She said her favorite “cheat” foods are SusieCakes, birthday cakes, brownies and cookies.

Lovato is currently on tour and keeps healthy while on the road by staying hydrated—she’s a fan of CORE Hydration water—eating healthy and working out. She says she enlists the help of a personal trainer and also brings along a nutritionist.

SG LEWIS RELEASES ‘DUSK’

Songwriter and producer SG Lewis shares ‘Dusk’. The 6-track release is the first chapter of his three-part dedication to club music: ‘Dusk, Dark, Dawn’ and is available to buy and stream now via all partners.

Presented over three phases, ‘Dusk, Dark, Dawn’ maps the trajectory of one night out over the course of an album, matching genres and tempos different stages of that night, beginning at sun-down, both inside and outside the club. On ‘Dusk’, SG Lewis plays with disco, west coast hip-hop and 80’s electro references to start the story. “Disco has always had the association of the start of a night for me. I spent a lot a time as a resident DJ in clubs and disco was always that magnetic genre, always brought people onto the dancefloor.” Lead single ‘Aura’ blends SG’s signature warm, uptempo house with disco inflections. “There’s an undeniable beauty to this part of the night. The apprehension, excitement… ‘Dusk’ is the warm-up for the heavier, darker things to come.”

The 6-track release includes features with J Warner and Kartell (Roche Musique) and will be released in full on April 6th via Casablanca/Republic Records. The project will soon segue into ‘Dark’ – a phase dedicated to harder, post-midnight club music styles like techno and hip-hop – and finally ‘Dawn’, dedicated to euphoria and chillout. Throughout the week SG Lewis has been touring across the UK with his final sold out show happening tomorrow at London’s Electric Brixton where he’ll be bringing out some very special guests.
