Aly Ryan

Aly Ryan was born September 25, 1995 to German parents who at the time were war correspondents in Moscow, Russia.

Traveling from one place to another at a very young age she learned several languages and eventually moved back to Germany where she developed a love for the music her father would play for her. Inspired by songwriters like Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and Pink Floyd, she soon started writing her own music. At the age of 16, shortly after her handicapped brother passed away, she packed her bags and made the move all the way to Los Angeles on her own.

She has since been working with her favorite producers including legends like Babyface, Red One and Toby Gad, recently releasing her debut single ‘No Parachute’ which has been charting on the Soundcloud top 50 pop chart worldwide since its release with currently over 1 million streams.

Head Of Pop at Spotify Mike Biggane included “No Parachute” on New Music Friday U.S and Major tastemaker Ebro Darden from Hot 97 talked about Aly Ryan on Beats 1 (Apple Music’a Radio station) and introduced the single to the world.

Single #2 “Donate A Dollar” was released September 8th, 2017 and is already at over 100k streams on Soundcloud.

This year Aly also opened for infamous Zane Carney ( who is the lead guitarist for John Mayer) at the El Rey theater and she has collaborated with Post Modern Jukebox (youtube cover band with 3 million subscribers and who tours worldwide} on a cover of “Million Reasons” by Lady Gaga which has garnered a lot of attention on Youtube.

Lute: Still Slummin’ Documentary Out Now

Dreamville/Interscope Records recording artist Lute will release West 1996 Pt.2 on September 29th at all digital retailers. The new project is the follow up to his first solo mixtape West 1996 which dropped in 2012. His mixtape success caught the ear of J. Cole who later signed the rising rapper to Dreamville Records in 2015. The Charlotte native also gives his fans a look into his life with the release of Lute: Still Slummin’ Documentary which can be seen HERE.  
 
West 1996 Pt. 2 is a contemporary throwback featuring soulful production contributions from GRAMMY-winner Cam O’bi (“Ford’s Prayer” and “Premonition” feat. Earthgang), alongside Shiggy (“Home” feat. Elevator Jay and “Git Up’ feat. GQ Slaughter), Elite (“Ambitions”) and Save Allen (“Morning Shift“, “Crabs In A Barrel“ and “Livin’ Life” feat. High I’m Ry). The first single “Juggin’,” also produced by Save Allen, serves as a metaphor for how Lute has approached his 28 years on the planet.

 

“This project is an accumulation of chapters and events leading up to Dreamville signing me. It’s a window into the last five years of my life…the obstacles, the challenges, the changes. It’s also motivation to not let people or circumstances define who you are. My only competition is the person I was yesterday. I’ve been patient and very appreciative of this platform and now its time to show what I’m capable of,” comments Lute.

Land Rover North America has announced its continued support for the one of the world’s most iconic equestrian events, the Rolex Central Park Horse Show, which takes place in the heart of New York City from September 20-24, 2017.

The Rolex Central Park Show is the only outdoor, multi-day equestrian event in New York City. Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials winner, Oliver Townend, will be joined in the line-up by members of the Land Rover U.S. Eventing team including, Olympic Bronze Medalist, Phillip Dutton and U.S. Event rider, Boyd Martin, in what is set to be a thrilling competition.

Alongside the three-star Show Jumping on offer, the 2017 Rolex Central Park Show welcomes the inaugural U.S. Open $50,000 Arena Eventing competition presented by The Fite Group Luxury Homes, showcasing some of the best event riders in the world. The two-round competition will incorporate both show jumping and cross-country elements of the sport, as riders, paired into teams of two, will contest an Intermediate level track set by renowned course designer Captain Mark Phillips. The top six teams, based on cumulative time from round one, will then compete in the final “money” round for the overall in prize money, which they will split based on final rankings in the second-round speed competition. The competition will run with a faults-converted format, adding two-seconds to a team’s overall score per jumping fault. The winners of the competition will earn the title of U.S. Open Arena Eventing Champions.

Alongside the U.S. Open Arena Eventing competition, the Rolex Central Park Horse Show will feature an array of multi-discipline equestrian sport including three-star Show Jumping, the highly-anticipated Puissance competition and Hunter Jumper classes.

As part of the Central Park Family Day Presented by Mars, Incorporated, Land Rover is pleased to once-again provide a special treat for the younger members in attendance: a fleet of electric powered replicas of iconic Land Rover models[1]. Designed for children aged four to ten, the special junior driving experience will take place in the main arena. In a newly expanded Sunday program, a special performance from “America’s Got Talent” Pompeyo Family, Dog Agility, children’s pony rides, face painting, and equestrian demonstrations will also be available free of charge on Sunday.

THE AUTOMOTIVE VIDEO ASSOCIATION (AVA) ANNOUNCES TOP FINALISTS FOR THE AVA AWARDS – APPROPRIATELY TITLED: “THE MOUNTAIN RUN”

The Automotive Video Association (AVA), which represents nearly 500 million unique viewers per year, today announced the list of finalists for the first-ever AVA Awards. The AVA award program will be hosted Saturday, September 23rd, 2017, and held at the Resort of the Mountain in Welches, Oregon. Titled “The Mountain Run,” the AVA selected High Performance as the vehicle category for 2017 pitting some of the world’s most incredible cars and SUV’s up against one another in an all-out battle for driving supremacy. Awards competition programs are serious business in the auto industry and the AVA has developed a program that both tests out the cars capabilities, but also sets a tone of having fun while doing it. Consumers in the market place do care about horsepower numbers, but they also car about how a car will function as a daily driver. They care about how the Bluetooth works and whether the adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning actually help the driver operate the vehicle. The AVA Award program sets out to showcase all that is great about these top finalist vehicles, but also where they may be lacking in some areas. One vehicle will be crowned in each category, but the scores will be public knowledge on all vehicles.

The AVA was formed by video media outlets that span the country and this group represents the auto industry’s first-ever national media organization that focuses on video exclusively. 
The AVA was established to provide media outlets that specialize in video content the ability to promote their industry, which is the fastest growing segment within the spectrum of automotive media. The organization is made up of some of the most prominent and most followed automotive outlets in the country.

Over the past month, the AVA has been solicited by a handful of video media outlets to join this organization. The AVA looks forward to having more members join and to do this in a way that benefits all parties involved, the AVA is developing a solid foundation in 2017 and 2018 with its founding members. Once this association has been fully developed and two AVA Awards events have taken place, the group will gladly open its doors to new members.

The AVA has no boundaries and its content spans the globe. The new coalition helps promote the video aspect of covering the greater auto industry. The organization also isn’t limited to just card carrying journalists. The AVA has members that have a variety of backgrounds. The unifying nature is video and all video content is owned by its members.

The overarching goal of the AVA is to promote video as the primary outlet for content, but is also aimed at auto makers as well to showcase the power of video. Consumers today, look to video for their news. The combined bandwidth of the AVA is in the millions for monthly unique views. This is something no traditional media outlet can do.

“Too Much To Ask” is one of the first songs Horan penned for Flicker, which Capitol Records will release on October 20. He co-wrote it with longtime collaborator Jamie Scott. Greg Kurstin, who helmed Horan’s “This Town,” produced the track.

The Kooks have rescheduled their North American headline tour to May 2018. See updated routing below. All tickets purchased will remain valid for the rescheduled dates, and refunds are also available.

We’re sorry to say we have unfortunately had to postpone our upcoming tour until next spring. We’re deep in to recording our new album at the moment, and we’re super keen to have it done in time to give you guys the first listen on the rescheduled dates next year. Unfortunately, however, next month is the only time we have available to finish recording. We’re so, so excited about coming to play these new songs (and the oldies too!) for you, and we hope you understand. We’re very sorry, and we love you dearly!

 

All tickets will remain valid for their corresponding show, though refunds are available from point of purchase. Unfortunately we have not been able to reschedule the New Haven and Sacramento shows, but we’ll keep on trying!

Following its United Nations premiere, TRAFFICKED will be in theaters October 6

Amazon Prime Video brings The Tick & Lore to NYCC

Amazon Prime Video is sure to stir up excitement at this year’s New York Comic Con with two of their newest shows hitting the floor of the Javits Center. Enter The Tick and Lore – two cult favorites that will be brought to life in the epicenter of sci-fi fandom in a completely immersive way.
 


Amazon Prime Video made its first foray into the hero universe with The Tick this past summer, which subsequently took San Diego Comic-Con fans by storm. The Tick will be back in a big blue way for this year’s NYCC and is bringing his companion, Dangerboat, along for the ride.
 
Beginning on October 5th and running through October 8th, NYCC attendees will have the chance to immerse themselves in a completely explorable, larger-than-life cigarette vessel that will be built out on the convention’s main floor. Dangerboat, the opinionated sidekick and headquarters of The Tick’s Overkill, becomes a prominent meeting destination and character throughout the series storyline in both Season 1 and 2 of the popular original series. Guests will be delighted by hidden surprises within the experience, such as its ability to speak to the occupants themselves, customized promotional items that can be unlocked using their RFID wristbands, lighting affects, emergency alarms, and more. NYCC attendees and horror buffs seeking the ultimate Instagram photo will be thrilled by Amazon Prime Video’s Museum of Lore. In promotion of the new anthology series Lore, this unsettling, picture-perfect experience will take place in the North Concourse of the Javits Center. Inspired by one of the fastest-growing podcasts in the United States, Amazon Prime Video’s Lore activation will uncover some of the most haunting myths of all-time in the most “shareable” way. Heroes have flown among us for decades but mild-mannered accountant Arthur Everest (GRIFFIN NEWMAN) one day finds out there are also genuine bad guys in this new Amazon Original Series. He believes he has proof that The City, where he was born and raised, is actually controlled by a global super-villain known as the Terror (JACKIE EARLE HALEY). Destiny soon brings Arthur together with an eccentric, tall, blue-suited muscleman with a mysterious past and list of superpowers: The Tick (PETER SERAFINOWICZ). The title character serves as both the conscience and the unchecked id of the story. Citing the call of destiny, the Tick procures for Arthur a moth outfit with retractable wings and insists that he suit up as his sidekick. He and Arthur are the ultimate odd couple, but may just bring out the best in each other. In their quest to take back The City, the unlikely pair of heroes quickly sees just how complex the struggle between good and evil has become.

ROLLS-ROYCE’S PARTNERSHIP WITH FONDATION BEYELER BRINGS ARTIST PIPILOTTI RIST’S WORK TO THE PUBLIC IN UNIQUE IMMERSIVE EVENT

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has partnered with Fondation Beyeler to present an artistic concept by internationally renowned Swiss artist, Pipilotti Rist, for the institution’s famed Summer Night’s Gala 2017, held on 16 September. Normally the reserve of Fondation Beyeler’s esteemed guests, Rolls-Royce’s patronage ensured that the installation was seen and experienced by the public on Sunday 17 September. 
Visitors to Fondation Beyeler were treated to a sensorial feast within Rist’s highly complex work. Curated by Fondation Beyeler’s Director Sam Keller, the installation was created for the museum’s Summer Night’s Gala. The artistic concept which was supported by the Rolls-Royce Art Programme, is part of an initiative that sees the marque serve as a benefactor in creating new works in partnership with prominent art institutions.

Rolls-Royce will continue the collaboration with Fondation Beyeler and Rist, who is one of the world’s leading contemporary artists, to bring the installation to the marque’s global centre of excellence, the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, West Sussex, in the near future, providing a further platform for this extraordinary and unique piece of work to be viewed once again.

The installation, entitled Tender Roundelay, consisted of 23 kaleidoscopic projections that shone down from the ceiling on 46 round tables within the space. The work immersed guests and the entire setting – the furnishings, the plates and glasses, the food and drink – within a monumental video installation. Using footage taken from the artist’s inexhaustible archive of visual material, the work was calculated with meticulous precision to create a plethora of continually varying impressions.

The resulting four-hour film included motifs from nature, the human figure and historic dining rooms, which were imaginatively choreographed to change throughout the picnic as guests were invited to sit, eat, talk, stand and recline whilst encountering a world of colour and sensual experience. For most artists, developing an artistic concept in which visitors eat, drink and amuse themselves is a rare experience.

Sam Keller, Director of the Fondation Beyeler, said, “The work of Pipilotti Rist takes us into a world of wonders. The collaboration with her is wonderful. She is probably Switzerland’s best-known artist, and I am delighted that she has created this stunning and unique installation. I am especially pleased that the Public Day with Pipilotti has captivated many visitors.”
 

Pipilotti Rist commented, “My work ‘Tender Roundelay’ – roundelay is an old English word for round dance – is a voyage of discovery and an experiment about how, and if, the moving electronic image can also unite people when often it rather separates us or forces a group to look in only one direction. This question has interested me for a long time, while the sun is our biggest projector and our eyes are blood driven cameras.”
