Having spent the first half of 2017 releasing tracks and installments from No Escape Out Of Time, London based quartet RITUAL today unveil the full project, available via Astralwerks HERE. A stellar collection of tracks complemented by a short film from Jackson Ducasse, the ice-cool pop of RITUAL and sharp cinematics of Ducasse combine beautifully to create a wonderful audio/ visual experience. Speaking on the film, director Jackson Ducasse states:
“No Escape Out Of Time’ is the culmination of a two year collaboration with RITUAL, a project that has enabled each of us to develop and manifest themes and ideas that have fascinated each of us for some time. I had been watching Films like La Jetee, Solaris and Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. Each of these films deal with memory loss and play with time in unusual and inventive ways- this inspired me and the band hugely. Not only that but we were all getting a bit sick of the average music video – girl and guy having a lovely time in a beautiful location – we wanted to turn that on its head and present a nightmarish inversion of that template. I would like to think that we managed to bring all of those ideas together in an interesting way.
For me as a director it’s the biggest and most ambitious project I’ve been a part of and something I’m incredibly proud to have been involved in.”
Speaking on the No Escape Out Of Time project, RITUAL explain:
“The ‘No Escape Out Of Time’ visual project was something that really developed after we had written the song “Drown The Lovers.” We are big film fans and have always been obsessed with the screenplays and work of Charlie Kaufman.
His take on themes of memory, time and love in ‘Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind’ especially really interested us when we were talking about a visual exploration of the lyrics in “Drown The Lovers.” The film and the songs on the project as a whole explore the ideas of the lifespan of a relationship, something that can start so pure and beautiful but can end so bitterly. From “Real Feels” through to “Better By Now” there is a journey that is ultimately summed up best by the chorus ‘It Wouldn’t Be Love, if it didn’t hurt nobody.'”
Earning the acclaim of the likes of Zane Lowe, FADER, NME and Noisey for their dark brand of pop, No Escape Out Of Time serves as the next step from RITUAL, who penned the Dua Lipa hit “Hotter Than Hell.” Stream the project in full here via Astralwerks: http://ritual.lnk.to/NEOOTPR

TOP CAMPAIGN VICTORIES
ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT: Accenture, Citi, Ernst & Young, and Procter & Gamble each committed to source $100 million from women-owned businesses — a majority of whom will be based in the developing world. This $400 million commitment will be delivered through our partners at WEConnect International, bringing to $1 billion the total that has been committed on the Global Citizen stage from corporates towards women’s economic empowerment in the past 12 months.
HIV/AIDS: Global Citizen partners Johnson & Johnson commits to accelerate the healthcare company’s HIV vaccine and announced that for the first time it is going into late stage human clinical trials. It is the world’s first ever “global” vaccine, which means it can protect against all strains of HIV. In early stage studies the vaccine has shown 100% success rate.
FAMINE: U.S. Senator Chris Coons (D-Delaware), as a member of the Appropriations Committee announced that encouraged by Global Citizens taking over 60,000 actions, his colleagues in the Senate have proposed $311.5 million more in funds for International Disaster Assistance compared to last year.
YAZIDI JUSTICE: Three years since the genocide was committed by ISIS, UK Permanent Representative to the UN, Matthew Rycroft, announced that the UK led the UN Security Council to a unanimous vote this week on the decision to set up a UN Investigation Team to pursue justice for the Yazidis. The UN resolution on ISIS accountability was described as a “long overdue first step” by the UN Office for the High Commissioner on Human Rights. This comes after an 18 month campaign and over 100,000 actions taken by Global Citizens.
TOP ACCOUNTABILITY UPDATES
FRANCE: Thanks to Global Citizen’s two year long campaign, and nearly half a million actions, including those of Global Citizen and Global Partnership for Education Ambassador Rihanna, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that for the first time ever a G7 country — France — was to co-host the Global Partnership for Education replenishment with an African country — Senegal in order to raise $3.1 billion to provide 870 million children with vital education.
GHANA: President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, committed on the Festival stage to end child marriage. The newly elected President inherited the initiative to end child marriage in the country from his predecessor, so this stage moment provided confirmation that the new president has officially committed to continue with the National Strategic Framework on Ending Child Marriage in Ghana. As part of this announcement, the President also reaffirmed his pledge to provide universal free secondary education.
FAMINE: Executive Director of the World Food Program, David Beasley, confirmed that $575 million of $990 million committed by Congress in May — a commitment helped by 49,291 actions taken by Global Citizens — has been released to the WFP and others to immediately fight the famine. He then issued a powerful call to action to Global Citizens, revealing that after years of progress, the number of hungry people in the world is going up.
Proud partners of Global Citizen Week included: Gucci and CHIME FOR CHANGE, MSNBC & Comcast NBCUniversal, Live Nation, Johnson & Johnson, Citi, HP, Cadillac, T-Mobile, iHeartMedia, NYC Parks, lululemon, P&G, The New York City Mayor’s Office for International Affairs, Bira 91, Universal Music Group, the Empire State Building, Forbes, Guardian US, Omaze, TOMS, and Tribeca Enterprises.

A few years ago, Rolls-Royce began noticing that they were in somewhat of a pickle. They’ve unarguably been building the ‘ultimate luxury car’ and have been the leader in that category for over 100+ years; but as of late, the company learned the thing that they do best – isn’t exactly what people want anymore.
The fresh wave of Rolls-Royce consumers are emerging ‘fast money’ elite within a global society whom demand more than just luxury from a brand that purely builds luxury cars. Not coincidentally, Rolls-Royce found a way to keep us in the dark about this, and in doing so created the ‘Black Badge’ edition to answer our cries.
The Ghost Black Badge in the short-wheel base platform is much more athletic and dare we say ‘naughtier’ than in standard configuration. On the exterior, nearly all of the traditional chrome has been blackened including the retractable spirit of ecstasy, window trim, wheels and grille. Although It might appear subtle to the common eye, it has a lot to say to the purist, so for the manufacturer this is a win-win.
The engineering team realized what their job was – keep the class, create the hustle and make it fearless. From the ground up, the frame has been recalibrated to make the Ghost feel like you’re floating on a cloud while cruising down Sunset Boulevard to driving on rails while sprinting across Mulholland Drive. Multi-layered carbon alloy composite 21-inch wheels were designed around the idea of exotic italian super cars from the 70’s era and the tires have low-rolling resistance characteristics. The brakes alone are an outstanding feature on this series and come well-outfitted with energy regeneration, dynamic/cornering control and a host of additional features.
For millennial investors, the Ghost Black Badge also receives an extra 50 or so horsepower pushing output to over 600hp. On the inside, performance and luxury is infused using technical weave on the dashboard; lambswool floor mats; a starlight headliner, which can blink you into a dream and a bespoke premium audio system pumping out 600 watts of youthfulness.
Our Ghost Black Badge arrived in piano black over an extremely irresistable cobalt blue interior with contrasting arctic white stitching which appeared better than the pinstripes on a Zegna suit. The individual seat configuration alongside a cutting-edge infotainment system, housing a 20.5GB hard drive disc for storing music files plus night vision.
The Ghost Black Badge will set you back a mere $416,605 USD, but considering that a Lamborghini will cost more and you can’t bring your friends along for the ride or even hang out in the back seat – it’s nothing short of astonishing. And to imagine, this is the first time we’ve witnessed Rolls-Royce show us their other hand!

KASKADE ANNOUNCES SECOND ANNUALNEW YEAR’S EVE SHOW AT BILL GRAHAM CIVIC AUDITORIUM IN SAN FRANCISCO, CA
Six-time Grammy® nominated singer, songwriter and producer Kaskade has announced that he will perform a special New Year’s Eve show at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium for the second year in a row. Fans can register for pre-sale tickets beginning today at www.kaskademusic.com to access tickets early on Wednesday, October 4th at 10:00 AM PST prior to the general on-sale which launches on Friday, October 6th.
“New Year’s Eve is always one of the most difficult times of the year for me to commit to. With the offers that come in I’m torn by which venue is best, what audience I want to share the night with and how to make the most epic goodbye to the year we’re leaving and hello to the one that’s cresting,” said Kaskade. “Instead of leaving it to someone else to build this for me, I’ve decided I’m going to handle it from here on. Last year at Bill Graham in SF was so special I knew that I needed to do it again. But now that I’ve got one under my belt, it has to be even better this year. It’s not even Halloween yet – and all I can think about is this party I’m going to throw with my West Coast Massive friends.”
Kaskade recently announced a handful of Redux tour dates to take place across the U.S. this fall. Tickets for all dates sold out in minutes. Visit www.kaskademusic.com for a complete list of upcoming dates.
Earlier this month Kaskade released Redux EP 002 on his own label, Arkade. The seven-song set is now available to stream and download in its entirety HERE. Redux EP 002 is centered around Kaskade’s intimate Redux shows, an homage to the stripped down clubs and deeper House Music played from the time his career was beginning. It kicks off with the lead single “Nobody Like You.“ The EP also features contributions from LöKii, Mr. Tape, and Late Night Alumni.
Following the success of Kaskade’s history making performance last summer at the Los Angeles Convention Center (which sold out in record time, was the biggest solo headlining show of his career and was attended by nearly 25,000 people), Kaskade returned to Southern California this past July to bring his fans another unforgettable experience via a massive outdoor beach party in Long Beach called Sun Soaked. The beach side three hour plus performance featured material spanning Kaskade’s career. Billboard proclaimed: “Kaskade cements west coast legacy with Sun Soaked party debut.”

84% Support NFL Players’ Right to Protest, But Vary on How to Carry that Out;Only 16% Say Protesters Should Be Dropped from Teams
A poll conducted this week by the Seton Hall Sports Poll has found that 84% of American support the NFL players’ right to protest, with only 16% saying the players should be ordered to stand for the anthem or be dropped from the team if they refuse.
Of the 84% supporting the players’ right to protest, 49% felt they should find a different way to express their political opinions, and 35% felt that not standing for the anthem is an acceptable way to protest. There was a wide racial gap in those saying it was an acceptable form of protest.with 70% of African-American choosing that option only 28% of whites doing so.
The poll of 845 adults (on both landline and cellphone) was conducted across the US on Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday of this week. It has a margin of error of 3.4%.
An identical question was asked a year ago about just Kaepernick. At that time, 80% supported the right to protest and 20% believed they should be dropped from the team if they refused an order to stand.
Asked specifically this week about players not standing during the playing of the anthem, 44% of all respondents disapproved, 32% approved, and 25% had no opinion or did not know. The responses to the same question about just Kaepernick a year ago were 47% disapproval and 27% approval.
“These attitudes are remarkably stable given all that has happened in this past year and the recent spike in attention being paid to the subject. , noted Rick Gentile, Director of the Seton Hall Sports Poll, which is sponsored by the Sharkey Institute.
Respondents were asked whether they agreed more with President Trump who called on NFL owners to fire any players who refuse to stand or with Commissioner Roger Goodell and several NFL owners who called the president’s comments divisive
Trump received the support of 28% and Goodell received 50%. Among African-Americans Trump received 6% vs 78% for Goodell, and whites were 32% to 47%.
Asked about Kaepernick’s lack of a contract by an NFL team, 47% felt it was because of his protests and 19% because he wasn’t good enough. 81% of African-Americans felt it was because of his protest with only 7% saying it was because he was not good enough, while among whites the ratio was 41% (protest) and 22% (ability).
“This is an emotional issue for many people with obvious differences between whites and African-Americans,” said Gentile. “The overall support for the players’ right to protest – in some form – is heartening especially considering some of the divisive rhetoric we’ve heard revolving around this issue.”
The protests can be very damaging to the NFL’s popularity. 29% of respondents said they were watching fewer games this season, and of that group, 47% cited the player protests during the national anthem.
In an identical question asked in November 2016, 25% said they were watching fewer games because of the anthem protest.
One of the country’s leading Catholic universities, Seton Hall University has been a catalyst for leadership — developing students in mind, heart and spirit — since 1856. Home to nearly 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students and offering more than 90 academic programs, Seton Hall’s academic excellence has been singled out for distinction by The Princeton Review, U.S.News & World Report and Bloomberg Businessweek.
Seton Hall, which embraces students of all religions, prepares its graduates to be exemplary servant leaders and global citizens. Its attractive main campus is located in suburban South Orange, New Jersey, and is only 14 miles by train, bus or car from New York City, offering a wealth of employment, internship, cultural and entertainment opportunities. The university’s nationally recognized School of Law is prominently located in downtown Newark.
This poll was conducted by telephone September 25-27 among 845 adults in the United States. The Seton Hall Sports Poll is conducted by the Sharkey Institute.
Phone numbers were dialed from samples of both standard landline and cell phones. The error due to sampling for results based on the entire sample could be plus or minus 3.8 percentage points. The error for subgroups may be higher. This poll release conforms to the Standards of Disclosure of the National Council on Public Polls.
The Seton Hall Sports Poll has been conducted regularly since 2006.
