“One of Britain’s most astonishingly talented songwriters” – NME
“a poetic creature who channels a mysticism, haloing his sounds with a timeless quality” – i-D
Isaac Gracie is pleased to announce his new 4 track EP, The Death of You & I will be released on September 29th [Republic Records]. The EP will be available to stream and download as well as via a limited edition run of 10” vinyl which you can pre-order now at isaacgraciemusic.com.
Isaac Gracie has quickly become a reliable name when it comes to releasing songs of depth, honesty and quality. Two EPs, one self-recorded and one live, and a towering recent Markus Dravs produced single “All In My Mind”, all had a very recognisable stamp of Isaac’s ear for melody and way with words.
This new EP was largely recorded at London’s Eastcote Studios within the past couple of months, and whilst it doesn’t signal a change of direction from Isaac wholesale, it certainly suggests a versatility. The roaring title track, streaming now, sounds as though it could be soundtracking an old spaghetti western before it explodes with rage on its chorus line.
“Silhouettes of You” which follows is a soaring widescreen anthem of quite dizzying proportions. It doesn’t simply scrape the sky so much as slow-burns through it. It’s the lighters/mobile backlights aloft scorcher that should soundtrack ‘moments’ the globe over. A staggering anthem.
“For One Night”, Isaac enlisted the ears of serial collaborator Mura Masa, and the pair have written a tune that cris-crosses and weaves before piling straight into another kaleidoscopic punch of a chorus. “Love” (Ain’t Always So Good) is a hushed folksy story that most resembles the earlier tracks that featured on the introductory EPs. Tender and charming, it’s the sound of a young poet comfortable with dropping his words onto a page and re-arranging them emphatically.
Isaac orbits a musical world that is almost oversubscribed with talented young voices, but in truth he acts as the antidote to all of them. A modern musician who takes the tested inspirations of love and hurt, and portrays it vividly with that moreish, keening vocal of his. He’s the real deal, and The Death Of You And I EP is his most realised body of work yet.
“The rise of Stefflon Don represents a sea of change in British rap” – The Guardian
“Armed with lyrical wit, aggression and star quality.” – XXL
August 10, 2017 – (Hollywood, CA) – After the incredible, break-out success of her critically-acclaimed debut mixtape ‘Real Ting’,STEFFLON DONtoday announces her first official single ‘Hurtin’ Me‘, featuring French Montana. The track is the first official single from Stefflon Don’s imprint V-VI Records and also serves as her first release under new US label Quality Control. ‘Hurtin’ Me’ is available on all streaming platforms here.
In the space of six short months, the BBC Sound Poll nominee has continued to defy all expectations, easily becoming one of the UK’s most exciting new stars. With over 6 million plays on Spotify alone for ‘Real Ting’, and a magnetic performance of ‘Sixteen Shots’ on Jools Holland, Stefflon Don has continued to buck all convention, seamlessly able to flip between gritty, grime-based bars and Jamaican patois-tinged vocals.
The new single shows off the latter with Stefflon Don trading silky smooth vocals against French Montana’s decisive flow. Produced by Rymez (Wiley, Jeremih, Lil Yachty, Sean Paul), the track is the perfect reflection of her multi-cultural background and influences from her upbringing in Jamaica, London & Holland and is set to become this summer’s biggest dancehall anthem.
Stefflon Don released her debut mixtape ‘Real Ting’ in November, instantly winning nominations for the BBC Sound of 2017, NME Top 100, i-D Class of 2017 as well as coming second in MTV’s annual Brand New. Six months later and the excitement around Stefflon Don has continued to build with recent collaborations including the likes of Raye, Giggs, Charli XCX, Lil Yachty and the international success of her recent Demi LovatoJax Jones collaboraton ‘Instruction’. With A-List support from the likes of BBC Radio and 1xtra, supports for Migos and Pusha T as well as breakout shows at Wireless Festival & The Great Escape, Stefflon Don is set to become this year’s most exciting artist and the latest British voice to resonant across the globe.
Cut Copy Announces Fall North American Headline Tour
Stream New Single, “Standing In The Middle Of The Field,” HERE
Haiku From Zero, Cut Copy’s first proper studio album in nearly four years and first for Astralwerks – will be released on September 22. Today, the band unveiled the second single from the album, “Standing in the Middle of the Field.” Amid a backdrop of loping kalimbas, cowbells and bubbly synths, lead singer Dan Whitford’s plaintive voice offers some emotional advice: “You gotta give up the things you love to make it better.” The song announces a theme that percolates throughout Haiku From Zero– the need to cut through the noise, a desire to focus. Listen to “Standing in the Middle of the Field”HERE.
“So much of this album is about this mosaic of information, images that we’re surrounded by on a day-to-day basis,” says Dan Whitford. “Sometimes it feels like overload, but there’s a weird random beauty in it. The idea of squeezing poetry from chaos was where the title of the album came from – the idea of finding something poetic in the overload.”
Haiku From Zerois available for pre-order in digital, CD and LP format HERE. Fans who pre-order the digital album will instantly receive the first single, “Airborne,” plus “Standing in the Middle of the Field.” See below for the complete track listing. A 7″ of “Standing in the Middle of the Field” featuring an exclusive b-side will be available to those who pre-order the vinyl edition of Haiku From Zero at select U.S. record stores. The list of participating stores will be announced shortly.
In addition, today Cut Copy have announced a North American headline tour, which will kick off on November 9 at The Catalyst Club in Santa Cruz, CA. The run will include a November 11 concert at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles and a November 24 show at Terminal 5 in New York City. See below for itinerary. A fan pre-sale for the Cut Copy mailing list begins today at 1 PM ET/10 AM PT. Tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow, August 11, at 10 AM local time at http://cutcopy.net/tour/. Cut Copy will also perform at several U.S. festivals this fall, including Luna Lights, CRSSD and Austin City Limits.
Written and recorded at studios around the world (Melbourne, Copenhagen, Washington, DC, New York, Atlanta), the nine tracks on Haiku From Zero nonetheless present a united sonic front, due in no small part to the guiding ear of producer Ben Allen (Deerhunter, Animal Collective, Neon Indian). Songs like “Counting Down” and “Living Upside Down” offer glimpses of beauty in a state of disco-fueled flux.
“Airborne” met with widespread critical acclaim upon its release last month. Noisey said, “It is classy as shit, and it’s definitely a ‘match your steps to the tempo of the song as you walk down the street’ kind of jam.” Stereogum hailed it as “a disco-pop odyssey that sounds like, well, soaring through the sky, before eventually blasting off into psychedelic bliss.” Consequence of Sound praised the accompanying video, directed by Gerson Aguerri (The Vaccines, Breakbot) of the Barcelona-based production company CANADA, as “magical.” Paste Magazine found it “wildly imaginative” and noted, “[it] follows frontman Dan Whitford as a trek for a late-night munch leads him down a surreal rabbit-hole filled with otherworldly characters and bizarre street views.” View the official video for “Airborne”HERE.
Initially a bedroom recording project by Whitford, Cut Copy evolved into a full-fledged band with guitarist Tim Hoey, drummer Mitchell Scott, and bass player Ben Browning. The quartet’s studio albums include In Ghost Colours, which Pitchfork named as one of the best albums of 2008 and among the top albums of the 2000s, and 2011’s Zonoscope, which won two ARIA Awards and was nominated for a GRAMMY.
The band’s songs have been licensed for use in television, games and commercials, including Chevrolet, Netflix, Amazon and Levi’s® #LiveinLevis campaign. DJing and mixes have also been a big part of Cut Copy’s identity – from the band’s famed Fabric mix, Fabriclive.29, to the 2014 Melbourne dance compilation, Oceans Apart. In addition to headlining massive sold-out shows, the band has gained prime slots at prestigious festivals such as Coachella, Ultra and Lollapalooza in the U.S.; Primavera in Spain, Pitchfork in Paris; Summer Sonic in Japan; and Big Day Out in Australia.

Up-and-coming Sydney DJ and producer Jesse Porsches releases the official video for his debut solo single, “The Weekend.” The glimmering dance pop jam enlists Sydney singer-songwriter Xavier Dunn on vocal duties (who himself had a breakout year in 2016 topping Spotify’s USA Viral Chart). View the video for “The Weekend”HERE. The track is also available for purchase and streaming via Astralwerks HERE.
A song about fleeting connection, acceptance of a short-lived love and a celebration that some relationships aren’t meant to be forever, “The Weekend” is a perfect anthem to send you running for the dancefloor.
The track’s release is accompanied by a new music video that was shot in Queensland’s stunning Burleigh Heads by the Jaen Collective video team. The clip echoes the fleeting moments of a young beachside romance and perfectly complements ‘The Weekend’ and its sweeping pop textures and Dunn’s ethereal vocals.
“We worked quite closely with the film crew across casting and locations to explore the themes visually. The video clip looks at a guy and girl who meet over a summer period, seemingly fall in love and then both move on with their lives.”
Collaboration has been key to the creative process and success for Jesse Porsches. After co-producing the track “Sleepless,” the debut single by the one-and-only Flume, Jesse started his first duo Porsches in 2015 with Carl Fox, penning the breakthrough hit “Horses.” Porsches went on to tour nationally, both as a live band and as DJs, performing alongside superstars like Skepta, Tkay Maidza, Booka Shade and Tensnake, as well as at festivals like Splendour In The Grass and Beyond The Valley.
2017 saw the launch of his second duo, Super Cruel, a dual producer project with Adelaide’s Tigerilla. Their first release “November,” featuring the inimitable vocals of Lisa Mitchell, instantly gained traction across national Australian radio and international streaming services online – further reinforcing Jesse’s reputation as having a Midas touch.
Fresh from performing at Splendour In The Grass as part of Super Cruel, Jesse steps into the spotlight as a solo artist in his own right with “The Weekend.” He has just announced a run of live club shows that take in Thredbo, Adelaide, Wollongong and NSW Central Coast with more dates to be announced.
Attention, wine lovers around the world! Wine Spectator has released the winners of the 2017 Restaurant Awards, which recognizes the world’s best wine lists. This year, the Restaurant Awards program honors 3,592 dining destinations from all 50 states in the U.S. and more than 75 countries internationally. The Restaurant Awards began in 1981, and there are three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand Award, with 2,335; 1,168; and 89 winners this year in each respective category. Five of the Grand Award winners—Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House in New York, Grill 23 & Bar in Boston, Les Climats in Paris, PM & Vänner in Växjö, Sweden, and Wally’s Beverly Hills—are first timers. “Restaurants continue to raise their game when it comes to wine, and we are particularly proud to present this year’s winners,” said Marvin R. Shanken, Editor & Publisher, Wine Spectator. “As wine becomes more important to diners, the Awards program is thriving—with an increasing number of entries, as well as growing print, digital and social audiences. Wine Spectator congratulates each and every award winner.”
All winners are profiled at Restaurants.WineSpectator.com and in the Restaurant Awards app—both of which were launched last year, and have since been updated with improved features, visuals and performance. The app, available free on the App store, allows iPhone and iPad users to easily find nearby award-winning restaurants, with maps, plus helpful information about cuisine, wine and pricing.
The Award of Excellence recognizes restaurants whose wine lists feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers. Best of Award of Excellence recipients offer more extensive selections with significant vintage depth and excellent breadth across multiple regions.
The Grand Award is the program’s highest honor. This elite group comprises the world’s best wine programs, which deliver serious breadth of top producers, outstanding depth in mature vantages, excellent harmony with the menu and superior presentation. Wine Spectator carefully assesses each Grand Award candidate, including rigorous independent, on-site inspections of the wine program, cellar, service, ambiance and cuisine of the restaurant.
The full list of award winners is available in print in Wine Spectator’s August 31 issue, on newsstands July 18; online at Restaurants.WineSpectator.com, where visitors can search and access exclusive content; and on iOS via the Restaurant Awards app.

Fresh from its world debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June, Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) will introduce its latest high performance creation, the Jaguar XE SV Project 8, to North American automotive enthusiasts during this year’s Monterey Car Week.
Following its first public showing just 6 weeks ago in the U.K., the weekend’s activities for Jaguar Land Rover kick off on Thursday with Project 8 making its dynamic debut during the welcome reception for the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
”Project 8 is the most extreme performance Jaguar ever and the second Collector’s Edition vehicle from SVO,” said John Edwards, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations. “Our team of engineers and designers are excited to showcase this special vehicle to prospective clients and enthusiasts in North America, where we so many of our valued clients are based.”
“No more than 300 of these special performance cars will be produced for sale worldwide. What better way to debut Project 8 – our most track-focused production car ever, than on America’s most iconic road course?”
Jaguar Land Rover SVO will bring two versions of the Project 8 to show in Monterey; a four-seat car finished in Velocity Blue representative of what U.S. enthusiasts will be able to buy and the other finished in Valencia Orange, featuring an optional two-seat Track Pack – available to customers outside the U.S. – which includes lightweight front carbon fiber racing seats with four-point harnesses fixed to a harness retention hoop in place of the rear seats4.
“Bringing the XE SV Project 8 to North America and debuting it at the events during Monterey Car Week was a natural fit,” said Kim McCullough, Vice President of Marketing for Jaguar Land Rover North America. “The week’s festivities on the Monterey Peninsula bring together the most passionate automotive enthusiasts from around the world each year and we’re excited to share our latest passion project with them.”

The centerpiece of the display will be the Jaguar XE SV Project 8, where prospective clients can be among first to register their interest for the limited edition model.
Guests to the garages also have the opportunity to try their hand behind the wheel of a Panasonic Jaguar Racing Formula E race car; piloting the vehicle as part of an immersive virtual reality experience housed within the Jaguar display space.

As one of the few non-ticketed public events during Monterey Car Week, Exotics on Cannery Row showcases some of the rarest and most exciting supercars of our time against the backdrop of Monterey’s historic downtown. The event is free and open to the public, running from 3:00 – 8:00PM.
XE SV PROJECT 8
Born from SVO’s desire to engineer the ultimate super sports sedan, the XE SV Project 8 builds on the success of the 2016 F-TYPE Project 7 as the brand’s second Collector’s Series vehicle; redefining the capabilities of how a four-door Jaguar can perform on track.
With the project currently under development, engineers are targeting a power output of 592hp; enough to make this the quickest road going Jaguar ever and capable of speeds up to 200 mph2. Along with the dramatic increase in power, a number of functional aerodynamic, suspension and interior enhancements to the XE help make this car the brand’s most powerful, agile and extreme performance vehicle ever4.
Global production for the XE SV Project 8 will be limited to just 300 units, each hand assembled at the SVO technical center in Coventry, England. Senior representatives from SVO will be on hand at events throughout the weekend to answer questions and help potential buyers register their interest. Those not attending can visitwww.JaguarUSA.com to keep up to date and register their interest.

~1,000 Summer Session Campers & 1,800 Retreat Center Guests Displaced Through May 2018
Santa Barbara County, California—On Saturday, July 8, 2017, the Whittier wildfire began in Santa Barbara County and burned through nearby St. Vincent de Paul Circle V (Vee) Ranch Camp & Retreat Center at 2550 Highway 154 across from Cachuma Lake. The facility was founded in 1945 and has been located on 30 acres leased in the Los Padres National Forest since 1990.
David Fields, Executive Director of St. Vincent de Paul of Los Angeles, operators of Circle V Ranch Camp announced, “We are so very grateful that all 88 campers and 36 staff members present on July 8th were evacuated safely during the wildfire. However, the Craft Lodge and Health Lodge cabins burned to the ground, and our water treatment facility and pipes were seriously damaged requiring months of repairs estimated at more than $200,000. With no water, all remaining summer camp sessions had to be cancelled. The timing could not be worse since the wildfire has deprived almost 1,000 campers ages 7-16 of this positive, uplifting six day/five night experience in nature creating memories for a lifetime.”
Additionally, dozens of groups planning to stay at the Camp’s Retreat Center from September 2017 through May 2018 have been cancelled resulting in the displacement of more than 1,800 guests.
Fields emphasized, “We are cleaning up and rebuilding Circle V Ranch Camp & Retreat Center. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in June 2018. We thank all our guardian angels who have been so supportive throughout this incredibly challenging time. We appreciate all donations to help with this effort at our secure, online site http://svdpla.org/donate/rebuild-camp/

Kristin explores self-identity issues all have struggled with in one way or another. The results will surprise you. The full episode is live now on Ladylike’s YouTube Channel!
Highlights from this episode:
“Patients don’t come in with (pictures of) celebrity faces, but they do come in with faces of people from Instagram, from social networks they had just found that they happened to like. And I explain to them that these pictures aren’t real, they’re all photoshopped.” – Dr. Linda Li, Certified American Board of Plastic Surgery Practitioner
“Being in a plastic surgeon’s office and having them tell you all the things about your face that you’ve lived with your entire life that really need to be fixed… to view you as beautiful enough to be model is a lot. It’s a lot emotionally to do it once, and I did it three times” – Kristin Chirico
