Listen to “Miles” here.
“I am so excited to have the connection with my fans again by releasing new music,” says Phillip Phillips. “’Miles,’ the first single, is about going through change but not being alone while it’s happening. Just knowing that there is always light after dark. This has been a really interesting journey and I’ve learned a lot personally and professionally. This is a new time and I’m excited about taking everyone along. Its good stuff!”

Phillips is currently on the road for a summer tour with Goo Goo Dolls through September. HEY VIOLET PREMIERE THE VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE  + “HOODIE” +  TODAY ON VEVO

“Hey Violet’s ‘From the Outside,’ (is) one of this year’s best and most provocative pop albums.” – The New York Times

Hey Violet premiere the video for their new single “Hoodie” today- watch it HERE. Directed by Jessie Hill, (Chris Cornell, Broods, Zella Day) the video was filmed in Los Angeles. “This is video is visually completely different from our other music videos so far,” says front woman Rena Lovelis. “We wanted to give it an air of indie movie vibes and used projections to symbolize the memories and show the loneliness conveyed through the lyrics.”

The band’s debut album From The Outside is out now on Hi or Hey Records/Capitol/Caroline- the album hit #1 on the iTunes Pop Chart and is available via all digital retailers. The band co-wrote songs on the album which was produced by Julian Bunetta. The New York Times declares it’s “one of this year’s best and most provocative pop albums,” and Stereogum says, “Hey Violet have a very strong album to show for their efforts – one that, like its provocative lead single, (‘Guys My Age,’) stakes out its territory and demands a reaction,”while Nylon raves, “I challenge you to find a debut album as explosive and technicolored as ‘From The Outside.’ With ’80s-tinged synths and enough sub bass to scratch the little EDM itch we all have, (the album) pulses with cheeky hooks and middle fingers to the status quo. Lead singer Rena Lovelis’ voice is arena-shaking. You’re in for one hell of a ride.” Hey Violet is also nominated for a 2017 Teen Choice Award for Choice Song: Group for “Guys My Age” and will headline Teen Fest 2017 at Teen Choice 2017 LIVE Sunday, Aug. 13 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/live PT tape-delayed) from University of Southern California’s Galen Center on FOX.

In the past year, the L.A.-based five-piece have proven the power of their immaculately crafted alt-pop. Their recent track “Break My Heart,” has racked up almost 10 million combined streams. Idolator says “Break My Heart” is a “monstrous electro-anthem” and declares, the band is “destined to have a massive year,” and Alternative Press calls the track “irresistible.” The song is the follow-up to Hey Violet’s smash single”Guys My Age,” which has more than 46 million combined streams, while the video is approaching over 16 million views. The band recently wrapped up a sold out North American headline tour, graced the March cover of Alternative Press, and performed “Guys My Age” on both The Late Late Show With James Corden and Late Night With Seth Meyers. Hey Violet’s Brand New Moves EP debuted as the #1 album on iTunes in the U.S., and U.K. The Los Angeles Times compared their move “from grimy punk to shiny pop” to the Go-Go’s, while Galore declared front woman Rena Lovelis, “emits an unheard of level of rock-stardom for such a small girl without even singing a single note. But when she does sing, it’s as if Courtney Love, Gwen Stefani, and Hayley Williams crashed into each other and made a whole new generation of rock star.” Hey Violet is Rena Lovelis, her sister Nia Lovelis (drums), Miranda Miller (keys, vocals), Casey Moreta (lead guitar) and Iain Shipp (bass).

ONR. RELEASES NEW SINGLE “JERICHO” TODAY

WATCH THE LYRIC VIDEO HERE
August 11th, 2017 – Hollywood, CA – Today, Glaswegian alternative rock newcomer ONR. releases his official debut single “Jericho.” Get it HERE.

The ominous guitar delay, eighties-style keys, pensive lyricism, and soulful vocals of “Jericho” is the first offering from ONR. He has an echo-y croon and towering melodies, while a six-string screeches. Appropriately, the War Games-style old school monitor readout on the official lyric video opens up his world.

Watch it HERE.

About the song, ONR.-aka Robert-comments, “It feels right to me that ‘Jericho’ is the first ONR. track that people will hear. I wrote it at a time when I’d stopped caring about how my writing was perceived. That was the catalyst for everything this became. At its heart, ‘Jericho’ is an old-fashioned protest song. It’s been missing a little in recent times, and it hopefully reflects the frustration and feeling of helplessness that comes with living in the modern world, but it harbors a sort of gentle aggression throughout. It’s more of a ‘call-to-arms’ than a submission.”

The seeds for that “call-to-arms” were planted long ago. Born in Glasgow and raised between the Scottish highlands and southern Scotland, ONR. spent his formative years idolizing Elton John, Kate Bush, Freddie Mercury, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie and obsessing over George Orwell’s dystopian classic 1984-coincidentally written in Scotland. He found inspiration in the ability of each to shift perspectives and unlock a higher realm and continues to draw inspiration from more modern rock innovators like Arcade Fire, Mondo Cozmo, Interpol and The Killers. Now, the artist’s own manifesto unfolds with “Jericho” and his forthcoming debut EP coming soon.

COLD WAR KIDS PREMIERE THE VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “SO TIED UP” FEATURING BISHOP BRIGGS TODAY ON VEVO

Los Feliz Blvd EP Out Now – Collection Features Acoustic Versions Of Tracks From Band’s New Album, LA Divine
Cold War Kids Join Young The Giant On North American Tour, Which Includes SummerStage Concert In NYC’s Central Park On September 13th

Cold War Kids premiere the video for their new single “So Tied Up” featuring Bishop Briggs today on Vevo. Shot in Los Angeles, the comic noir clip was directed by Tota.

Watch it HERE.

Says front man Nathan Willet, “‘So Tied Up’ is about the tension and struggle of relationships. With this video, we wanted to show the sweetness on the surface and the violence that bubbles underneath as a metaphor for all of our love lives. We’re so proud to finally share this with you today!!! Big thanks to Bishop, Tota, all the cast and crew.”

TIME Magazine hailed the single as “enticing” and noted, “This one is a fast -paced toe tapper with a stadium-sized arrangement. As far as angsty passionate themes to conflicted love affairs go, this one ticks all the right boxes.” Watch a live acoustic performance Willett and Briggs recording “So Tied Up,” backed only by violin, cello and Willett on piano HERE.
The band recently released Los Feliz Blvd (Capitol Records), an EP featuring intimate, acoustic recordings of tracks from the band’s new album, LA Divine. With elegant, sparse instrumentation, the singles “Love Is Mystical,” “Can We Hang On?” and “So Tied Up” are stripped down to their emotional core. British singer/songwriter Bishop Briggs is featured on two tracks – the sizzling “So Tied Up” and a soulful version of Rihanna’s “Love On The Brain.” Available for download and streaming HERE, the EP was produced by Lars Stalfors and recorded at Sonora Recorders in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Cold War Kids recently wrapped a sold-out North American headline tour and are now on the road with Young The Giant on the “Home of the Strange Tour,” which kicked off earlier this month in Louisville, KY. The run will include performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO (August 15), Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island in Chicago (September 9) and SummerStage in New York City’s Central Park (September 13). The band will also perform at the Memphis Music Festival and New Orleans’ Voodoo Music + Arts Experience. See below for itinerary. Tickets for all shows are available at coldwarkids.com

Coming on the heels of 2014’s Hold My Home – which featured the chart-topping, Gold-certified single “First” – LA Divine pays tribute to Los Angeles in all its strange glory, embodying Cold War Kids’ fascination with their adopted hometown. Produced by Lars Stalfors (Health, Local Natives), it debuted in Top 10 of Billboard’s Alternative Albums and Top Rock Albums charts. “Love Is Mystical,” the lead single, was praised by NME for taking the band’s “rousing and soulful anthemics to new heights.” The track, which is approaching 21 million streams worldwide, held the No. 1 spot for Most Increased Plays at AAA radio for two consecutive weeks and went on to spend 10 straight weeks in the Top 5. It took the No. 1 spot on the Alt 18 Countdown for four consecutive weeks and hit No. 2 at Alternative radio. The Huffington Post said, “The soulful lyrics and sonic reverence of [LA Divine] is overwhelmingly compelling, addictive and even mesmerizing.” Entertainment Weekly observed, “[The album features] the gospel-tinged ‘No Reason to Run,’ eerie ‘Open to the Heavens,’ and dance-ready ‘Invincible.’ Album closer and highlight ‘Free to Breathe’ strips away flourishes, relying instead on minimal, ethereal instrumentation and frontman Nathan Willett’s vocals.”

Cold War Kids are Nathan Willett, Matt Maust, Joe Plummer, Matthew Schwartz, and David Quon. Formed in 2004 in Fullerton, CA, the band has sold more than 800,000 adjusted albums, over two million singles, and racked up over 200 million streams to date.

BARNS COURTNEY RELEASES ‘GREEN AND GOLD’

With the Packers season kicking off, Packers fans and Wisconsin residents are all looking forward to seeing the team take the field in the coming weeks. This year, the excitement is spreading across the pond to British musician Barns Courtney and his band. A Packers staff member heard the up-and-coming musician’s song “Glitter and Gold” and immediately knew it would catch on with Packers fans, especially if the song was re-recorded as “Green and Gold.”

With his recent album release and North American tour, including a stop at Summerfest in Milwaukee in June and at Lollapalooza in Chicago last weekend, Courtney was happy to lend his voice and music to the energy of the coming football season.

Fans can download the “Green and Gold” version of Courtney’s song at http://barnscourtneyshop.com/products/green-gold.

“The struggles I experienced when I lost my first record deal, and the drive to succeed in the face of adversity runs parallel to the challenges in football,” said Courtney. “You need the same fire in your belly to play professionally be it in music or in sports. If I didn’t feel a personal connection to the subject matter, I wouldn’t write about it. I try to be as honest as possible in my lyrics. So with that in mind, I tried to find as many parallels as possible with the Packers’ world and my own.”

Courtney’s debut album, “The Attractions Of Youth,” will be released Sept. 29.

Billboard has said, “Barns Courtney lit up the crowd at El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles….His deep George Ezra-esque vocals with the husky Americana rhythm of Mumford & Sons, along with his attention-grabbing stage presence left no boring moments throughout the concert.” His shows are consistently recommended as picks of the week by such publications as buzzbands.la and The Dallas Observer, which noted, “His raspy vocals, genuine talent and nod to early R&B make his music a must-listen.” Listen SD observed, “Barns Courtney will make you swoon with his special brand of bluesy folk-pop. We love his song ‘Fire’ but frankly all of his songs are fire.”

The young artist has already surpassed 45 million combined streams globally – including more than 22 million streams in the U.S. “Hands,” from his debut EP, The Dull Drums, was tapped for a recent commercial while “Fire,”a Top 5 hit at Triple A radio and a Top 15 hit at Alternative, has been heard in several ads and for the FIFA 17 trailer. “Glitter & Gold” climbed to #1 on the Spotify UK Viral Chart and has been heard in promotional spots for Miller Lite and the critically acclaimed film The FounderBarns Courtneyhas opened for The Who at London’s Wembley Stadium and has also supported Ed Sheeran, Elle King, Blur, Fitz and The Tantrums, Tom Odell and The Libertines.

ABOUT WYNWOOD SHOP
Led by founder and director Diana Gonzalez, the team at Wynwood Shop curates original works by emerging artists and brands, creating an opportunity for exposure and growth for South Florida’s artistic movement. Wynwood Alley, now Wynwood Shop, was established in 2013 when Gonzalez saw the need for a common space that could serve as a stable platform for local artists, musicians, and small brands to showcase their work.  With the help of pop artist Michael Perez and Gallery 212 Miami, they created a monthly street market that would become an artistic and artisanal hub – and eventually an inherent part of the Wynwood art scene. In spring of 2017, the marketplace evolved into a permanent space at 196 NW 24th Street in Wynwood, Florida as a gallery and shop. Exhibits and merchandise focus on bringing together creative makers and artists and promote emerging talent and brands from around the world with a strong focus on Miami. Additionally, Wynwood Shop is now an official South Florida distributor of world famous, artist-favorite, Kobra Paint.
